WINGAS Belgium: Added value without borders

Competition in the European gas market took a major step forward with the introduction of the Second EU Gas Directive in summer 2003. Earlier than originally expected, commercial consumers in Europe were given the right to choose for the most competitive gas supplier. WINGAS took advantage of this opportunity and expanded its activities into new markets. We are active in Belgium since the beginning of 2003 when we started to supply our first customer in Belgium. Since then we were able to significantly increase the number of customers in this market. As a result, our natural gas sales in Belgium have reached a volume of more than 1 billion cubic meters. Belgian consumers are interested in further developing the supply partnership with WINGAS. WINGAS is not just giving Belgium direct access to Russian natural gas for the first time, it also offers gas from the North Sea and optimizes its purchase portfolio by active participation in the Belgian trading hub of Zeebrugge.

WINGAS Belgium, with its European office in Brussels (21, Avenue des Arts/Kunstlaan), coordinates the marketing activities of WINGAS in Belgium. WINGAS Belgium also represents WINGAS towards the EU-institutions.
