More energy - together. The idea was as simple as it was successful. WINGAS was formed in 1993 as a joint venture between the world’s largest producer of natural gas, Gazprom, and Wintershall, Germany’s largest crude oil and natural gas producer. Right from the outset WINGAS took on a pioneering role in the market. Its task was to create more added value by jointly marketing natural gas on the basis of a newly constructed pipeline and storage infrastructure.

Today the successful joint venture, based in Kassel, Germany, is a force to be reckoned with in the German and European markets and a competent partner for the transport, storage and supply of natural gas. The idea of joining forces is not just a recipe for our success; rather, it is more a foundation for the business success of our customers. These customers throughout Europe include public utilities, regional distribution companies, industrial concerns and power stations.

Togetherness makes stronger, allows to achieve more and to release energy. Our employees support this philosophy and do their utmost every day to put it into practice. This is why the guiding principle of our company, “More energy - together” is not simply a promise. It is the measure of all our actions.
