WINGAS auction of capacities on store-x a success
Kassel. WINGAS has allocated capacities in the Haidach storage facility successfully via the exchange platform store-x. The entire capacities for the storage year 2012/13 for 100 lots overall, each with a working gas volume of 14 million kWh, were auctioned successfully. It was not possible to fully meet demand because the offer was oversubscribed several times over. The withdrawal rate for the lots is 8,245 kWh/h, the injection rate 4,545 kWh/h.
European energy provider WINGAS GmbH & Co. KG is one of the largest suppliers of natural gas in Germany. In Rehden in North Germany, WINGAS has the largest natural gas storage facility in Western Europe – with a working gas volume of over four billion cubic meters, and the company also participates in Central Europe's second largest storage facility in Haidach, Austria. WINGAS is currently building the Jemgum natural gas storage facility on the German-Dutch border and is planning to build another storage facility in Saltfleetby in the UK to help secure the supply of natural gas in Europe.
