ADAC Motorwelt extols the merits of natural gas
Kassel. In the latest issue of its magazine, the automobile club ADAC presents possible alternatives to the diesel drive. Natural gas impresses in terms of climate protection and costs. “Alongside electric mobility, natural gas offers a tried-and-proven fuel,” says ADAC’s Vice-President Ulrich Klaus Becker in an interview. In its eco test, the ADAC conducted realistic measurements of pollutant emissions. For instance, all Golf models with their different types of drive were examined. The verdict: “The best choice from the quintet is the natural gas-driven Golf.”
And customers have also been won over by gas drives. The ADAC Customer Monitor shows that drivers of a natural gas (CNG) vehicle are most satisfied with its power consumption, followed by those with an e-hybrid. They are followed – at some distance – by drivers of vehicles that run on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The most popular fuels – gasoline and diesel – trail in bottom spots.
