Official ceremony at Königstor 20 in Kassel
Kassel. Construction of the WINGAS corporate headquarters in Kassel's city center has reached another milestone: Together with Christof Nolda, Head of Urban Planning for the City of Kassel, and other guests from politics and business, OFB Projektentwicklung GmbH as the contractor and WINGAS GmbH have now celebrated the topping out ceremony for the Königstor 20 building in Kassel's city center. WINGAS will move into the building in 2015.
Dr. Alois Rhiel, CEO of OFB, spoke on behalf of the project developer: "The topping out ceremony represents an important step in the construction of the new building and we can look back on the successful and speedy progress that has been made. Our thanks go to the construction workers for their good work and to WINGAS and the City of Kassel for their trusting cooperation."
Head of Urban Planning for the City of Kassel Christof Nolda congratulated project developer OFB and the future tenant on the construction progress achieved and on the attractive appearance of the building: "The new WINGAS corporate headquarters is a prime example of urban development quality, which will shape Kassel's city center for a long time to come."
Gerhard König, spokesman for the WINGAS management was equally delighted: "Our new corporate headquarters is taking shape. And the result shows that the search for a suitable location was worth it. The new building will provide the basis for the successful further development of our company. We look forward to the move."
The building at Königstor 20 will have a total gross floor space of 12,000 square meters and four to five floors. The Kassel branch of OFB Projektentwicklung GmbH is responsible for the construction. The office building was designed by the architectural firm ANP from Kassel. WINGAS has leased the property for 20 years and will move into the new building in 2015.
