New building at Königstor will accommodate up to 490 employees as from 2015.
Kassel. WINGAS continues to grow: For almost two decades the company has been successful in the German and European natural gas market. A new company headquarters is now being built for the growing number of employees in Kassel (currently around 330). From 2015 on, WINGAS will rent an office block in the city center (located at Königstor) from OFB Projektentwicklung GmbH (Kassel), a subsidiary of the Helaba real estate group, for at least 20 years. OFB will build the four-floor office block with a total floor space of 10.200 square meters. The building currently located at the construction site (Karl + Co.) will be demolished.
The planned modern complex of buildings will be characterized by a bright, elevated façade and large windows. An inner courtyard as well as the versatile multi-level building style will provide additional light for the offices. The company headquarters will have room for up to 490 employees. Currently, the employees are located mainly in the Wintershall building at Friedrich-Ebert-Straße.
“In the past years, WINGAS has consequently set the course for long-term growth. The decision to move into a new building makes this positive development visible”, explains Gerhard König, Chairman of the WINGAS Board of Directors. Bringing the employees together in one building in Kassel is an important step. “It strengthens the team spirit and improves the identification with WINGAS – as a strong company in Kassel.”
“We are very pleased that WINGAS continues to grow in Kassel. WINGAS is one of the most important commercial partners of our city and provides high-quality and long-term employment”, states Bertram Hilgen, Mayor of Kassel.
